The Obvious Choice

Angus made his decision, leaving the high and varied culture and cosmopolitan possibilities of New York City for the relative cultural desert of Australia. At least thats what I assumed. Then I saw this bit. I think he trumped us all. Culture, sun and waves? Thats just not fair.

Burgers, Beers, Surfing, Boy.

22 burgers consumed.
Way too much beer brought.
Not that Antonio didn't try to remedy that situation.
Thanks to Mike at Mollusk for the DVD hand off.

A Double with Burgers

Saturday Night Surf Film Screening.
Budweisers, bubbly water for the January abstainers and some burgers. Tomorrow night (o1/12/o8) at my place around six or seven.
Children encouraged, some sort of vegetable starter potluck or sweet afterthought encouraged.
Small time, family time.
Bra Boys and One California Day.
I also have a new album pick up, Tabu Ley Rochereau, that I want to introduce people to.

Let me know if you want to come around and I'll let you know what to bring.

Ray Knives

Long gone are the days of hiking back into the Santa Barbara hills to surf the old reservoir bowls. Long gone are the days of the half mile Riviera downhill sessions. My ankles are crap and my heart just isn't into the punishment anymore.
But I still pine for it now and again. Every time I cruise by Mollusk there is Mike & Co. out there skating around, biding time.
Our man on the concrete sells some nice product and is always on the style tip over at Prize Fighter Cutlery.

The Widge in Australia

The Widge, long time surfing friend and recent Endless Bummer fellow traveler, headed out to Australia for a Surf & Bike expedition to escape the New York winter. Here is a neat little memoirumentary about fun, friends and good surfing intentions falling prey to the body's infinite frailties.
