Mastic Johnny found this gem today. Well, someone else found it, and he found their find.

If you've never seen a Jack Brull print up close, felt the warmth of the tones and the rare fantasy of his vision, nows yer chance... caught wind of this from Shipworm, Bribble & Associates.
This is happening at a theater near you (if it's in fact, near you.) These people are trying hard to make life better for everyone. That is such a nice thing. Support and respect.

More like it...

The Junod Nowski worked pretty good, even if I didn't...

A Rare Thing

A photo of me surfing is maybe a three or four, okay possibly twelve in a lifetime thing. So far anyhow. Grant has made history. For me anyhow.

One thing is inevitable in life: when you go to the beach with the local surf shop owner, an ex-pro surfer and a photographer intent on shooting in tow, and the waves are a touch shifty, fast and fun, you'll surf a little kooky, spend an inordinate amount of time paddling out and then have to leave early to collect the kid from the babysitter. Those are the rules fella, just get used to it. Fun day though. Gotta catch up on my Jamie Brisick reading....
Mollusk Board swap. There are a few gems there, and a few not-so-gems. The gems are priced at gem prices, but worth it if you've got the scratch. The not-so-gems are priced at that price, and worth it if you've got the itch. Still happening tomarrah.

Grant sent me an email this morning with this guy's website address, figuring I'd like the images. Sure enough, absolutely nutso photography. I don't know how to describe what a mental gasp might sound like, but there was this gasping noise in my dome every time I clicked on the mouse. Just great stuff. I was thinking how it would be to just try and post all his photos in one massive posting, and then brought myself back down to earth, settling on a link and just a few photos. Then it dawned on me: Wayne Levin was part of the Clic show Antonio and I halfheartedly pilloried a while back. The stuff I saw from that show was little bit different, less documentary feeling and a little dreamier than a lot of what I see on his site. And what I see on his site, I can't get enough of. Click on the name and enjoy.
